What we collect when you scan your store, why, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated November 3, 2026
01Who we are
AccessAisle is run by Bilal Burney, an independent developer based in Karachi, Pakistan. For anything about your data, email hello@accessaisle.com.
02What we collect
We collect as little as we can. Specifically:
- The store address you scan, and the results: the pages we checked, the accessibility issues found, a screenshot of the homepage and a PDF report.
- Your email address, only if you ask us to send you the report, plus whether you ticked the box to get accessibility tips.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit how many scans one person can start. We never store the IP address itself.
- Campaign tags (such as
utm_source) if you arrived from one of our links, so we know which channels work. - What you tell us when you email us or book a call.
- Anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, the country and the type of device, collected with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage and doesn’t fingerprint you, so we can’t identify you from it.
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.
03How we use it
- To run your scan and show you the results.
- To email you the report you asked for.
- To send accessibility tips, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To reply when you contact us, and to deliver paid work you order.
- To prevent abuse of the free scanner.
04Legal basis (EU and UK)
- Your request (contract): running the scan and sending the report.
- Your consent: marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest: preventing abuse, understanding which channels bring visitors, and anonymous visit statistics to improve the site.
05Services we rely on
These providers process data for us, under their own data-protection terms:
- Supabase: database and file storage, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Vercel: website hosting, served from Frankfurt, Germany.
- Oracle Cloud: runs the scanner that checks your store, in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Cloudflare: Turnstile checks that a scan request comes from a person, not a bot, and Web Analytics counts anonymous visits.
- Resend: sends report and tips emails.
- Hostinger: hosts our email inboxes, including the ones we use to contact stores.
- Cal.com: booking calls, if you choose to book one.
06How long we keep it
We keep scan results and email addresses for as long as they’re useful for the report and any follow-up, and we review and clear out old data at least once a year. Ask us and we’ll delete your data sooner.
07Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@accessaisle.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
If you’re in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
08If we scanned your store
Our scanner only loads public pages, the same way a visitor would. To have a scan deleted or to stop future scans of your site, see About our scanner bot or email us with your domain.
We may email a store’s public business address (for example the one on its contact page) to share the free results of a scan. For this we keep the store’s address, the business email, the scan results, the emails we send and any reply. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in offering a relevant service to a business. Each email has an unsubscribe link; once you use it or reply asking us to stop, we add the address to a do-not-contact list and never email it again. We don’t send these emails to stores in the EU or EEA.
09Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll tell people on our email list.
