How it works

From free scan to a store everyone can use

Four clear steps. Start free, see what’s wrong, and only pay when you want the work done.

The four steps

What happens, step by step

  1. Step 1: Scan

    FreeAbout a minute

Paste your store’s address. Our scanner loads your homepage, a product page, a collection page and your cart, the pages where sales happen, and checks them against WCAG 2.2 AA rules.

What you do: Enter your URL. Add your email if you want the PDF.

    What you get

    • A score out of 100
    • Your top issues in plain English
    • A PDF report you can share with your developer
  2. Step 2: Audit

    $4975 business days

Automated tools catch only some problems. In the audit, a person tests your store the way disabled shoppers use it: with only a keyboard, with screen readers, zoomed in, and on a phone.

What you do: Tell us your store URL and the 2 extra pages that matter most to you.

    What you get

    • Every issue with its WCAG criterion, severity and a screenshot
    • How to fix each one, ready for any developer
    • A prioritised plan: what to fix first for shoppers and risk
    • A 30-minute walkthrough call
  3. Step 3: Fix

    $1,99710–15 business days

We fix the issues in your theme or plugin code. Nothing is added on top of your store. We always work on a duplicate theme, test it by hand, and only publish when you approve.

What you do: Add us as a collaborator (Shopify) or a limited user (WordPress), then review the preview.

    What you get

    • Fixes in your own code, which stay if you ever cancel
    • A before-and-after score, and we keep fixing until it’s 90+
    • An accessibility statement for your store
    • 3 months of monitoring included
  4. Step 4: Monitor

$79/mo after the included monthsEvery week

Stores change all the time: new apps, theme updates, new products. Monitoring re-scans your key pages every week so new problems are caught early, before they pile up.

What you do: Nothing. Read the monthly report when it arrives.

    What you get

    • Weekly automated re-scan of your key pages
    • Monthly score report by email
    • Up to 1 hour a month of fixes for regressions

Beyond the scanner

What we test by hand

Automated tools find some issues. These checks find the ones that actually stop shoppers.

  • Keyboard only

Can a shopper reach every menu, filter, variant picker and checkout button without a mouse, and always see where they are?

  • Screen readers

We use NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on Mac and iPhone to hear whether products, prices and buttons make sense.

  • Zoom and reflow

At 200% and 400% zoom, does the page still work without sideways scrolling or text that overlaps?

  • Colour contrast

Prices, sale badges, buttons and form errors checked against the WCAG contrast ratios.

  • Forms and errors

Search, newsletter, cart and checkout fields with clear labels and errors that screen readers announce.

  • Images and media

Useful alt text on product images, and captions or controls for video and moving content.

How long does the whole process take?

The scan takes about a minute. The audit is delivered in 5 business days, and fixes take 10–15 business days depending on how many issues we find.

Will my store go down while you fix it?

No. We work on a duplicate of your theme, so shoppers keep using your live store. You preview the fixed version and we publish only when you approve.

Do I need to skip the audit and go straight to fixes?

Fix & Protect includes the full audit, so you can start there. Many owners start with the audit to see the scope first.

What about apps and plugins you can’t edit?

Some issues come from third-party apps. We fix what we can around them, and tell you exactly which apps cause problems and what to ask their developers.
